On July 1 the State Attorney General enacted a law that all home improvement contractors had to be registered with the state. The law aims to help consumers find honest contractors and create a pleasant experience for all parties involved. We registered as soon as we found out about the new law and have been using our Home Improvement Contractor Registration Number ever since (PA003030).

Ashford Employee Earns National Designation
AshfordHomes' Emily Artman is now a Certified Green Professional. The designation requires24 hours of NAHB-approved training, and additional continuing education everytwo years. Subjects covered in training discuss how green homes provide buyerswith lower energy costs and higher value, and will include strategies for incorporatinggreen-building principles into homes without driving up the cost of construction.The designation curriculum requires completion of the Green Building for BuildingProfessionals two-day course and either the Business Management for BuildingProfessionals one-day course or having another current NAHB professional designation.Upon successful completion, that individual is awarded the CGP designation, recognizinga high degree of professional competence. This designation is available to individualsonly, and does not apply to companies, nor to specific homes or projects.
Memberships and Certifications
Ashford Homes and/or its staff hold the following designations and memberships: Certified Reward Wall System (ICF) Installer, Certified Green Professional (CGP), National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), National Association of Home Builder Remodelers (NAHBR), Pennsylvania Builders Association (PBA), Central Susquehanna Builders Association (CSBA), Columbia Montour Chamber of Commerce, Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce, and the International Code Council (ICC).
